Naturally, we are very proud of our magnificent golf course in its bush setting just a stone's throw from the centre of town.
But that's just for starters. Deniliquin also has two bowling clubs, a croquet club, lawn tennis courts, a sports stadium which caters for numerous indoor sports, netball courts, two football ovals and Rotary Park which our junior soccer stars call home.
Bike riding is popular because we not only have dedicated bike tracks but a flat terrain which makes cycling more pleasurable. If you are looking for more passive pastimes, there are several bingo sessions a week at various venues and a whole range of recreation and service clubs which welcome our many visitors. For details and meeting times talk to the friendly staff at the Visitor Information Centre.
Deniliquin Lawn Tennis Club in Charlotte Street has 18 beautifully manicured lawn tennis courts, used for both tennis and croquet throughout the year. The club offers a family friendly environment and encourages players of all ages to use its facilities.
Tennis competitions run year round and are most active in summer months. The club hosts the Western Riverina Championships at Easter each year, which attract more than 200 players.
Court hire is available year-round. Visitors are also welcome at the Deniliquin RSL tennis courts. More information is available at the club's reception.
The Deniliquin Swim Centre Complex in Poictiers Street comprises a 50 metre outdoor pool, 18 metre learners' pool, a toddlers' pool and an indoor warm water therapy pool which operates 12 months of the year.
The outdoor pools are open from November to March and provide hours of fun in our warm summer climate, not to mention providing valuable swimming lessons and exercise for young and not-so-young.
If you're having a family holiday, we're sure the youngsters will be looking for a playground to work off some energy. Scott's Park is situated in Russell Street and has a range of fun, safe equipment to entertain the children.
There's also a well-equipped playground with barbecue and toilet facilities at the Deniliquin RSL Club. It's situated at the rear of the club on the corner of Junction and Duncan Streets.
An enclosed playground in the Waring Gardens is popular, and after the kids have worn themselves out they may like to feed the local ducks.
The Deniliquin Skate Park is on the corner of Edwardes Street and Civic Place, opposite the Waring Gardens. It's a popular meeting place where youngsters can show off their skills.
The Deniliquin Bowling Club has greens open all year round, and seasonal barefoot bowls. With live entertainment, raffles and a restaurant, it's more than a bowls club.
